We are calling all Lancashire businesses to join us in supporting children’s charity Barnardo’s by donating a gift that we can give to a young person.

We have organised a Toy Appeal for local children and young people since 2013 and with the support from local businesses we have helped hundreds of children.

We’d love it if your business or networking group would join us and collect donations on behalf of your staff or networking group.

Barnardo’s support over 400 vulnerable young people from 0-25 years old, throughout the year across the Lancashire area. Presents for teenagers are particularly valuable as young carers and homeless units are most in need of presents.

Barnardo’s have also advised that the gifts are best not wrapped, and we can also accept gift vouchers.

Donated toys can be dropped off at Cotton Court Business Centre during the hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday.

Over the years, millions of children and young people have benefited from gifts donated to Barnardo’s. By giving a gift to our Christmas Present Appeal you can make a real difference in someone’s life at Christmas.

Barnardo’s is a British charity founded by Thomas John Barnardo in 1866, to care for vulnerable children and young people. As of 2013, it spends over £191 million each year on more than 800 local services, aimed at helping these same groups. It is the UK’s largest children’s charity, in terms of charitable expenditure. Today, Barnardo’s provides a comprehensive range of local support, counselling, fostering, adoption, education, residential and training services for more than 100,000 children, young people and their families. The charity works to transform the lives of vulnerable children and young people, and aims to enable them to fulfil their potential.

Leading University Entrusts Preston Agency With Supporting Their Marketing Team

3ManFactory have continued their fantastic start to 2015 by securing a contract with the University of Central Lancashire. The work was awarded after an intense tender process that covered producing a variety of work including promotional video and a full digital campaign, with the process culminating in a formal presentation. Despite tough competition from national agencies they secured a place as one of a small number of agencies supporting the Universities marketing team.

UCLan now has over 32,000 students and is in the top 1% of universities worldwide for international students. Their marketing team not only have to look at areas such as undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment and retention but also liaising and partnering with business and industry. This wide audience means work will no doubt be challenging but equally exciting and rewarding.

They have been working with UCLan for a number of years already having delivered many lectures and workshops, developed brand concepts and designed websites for projects and schools across the University but this new contract will really deepen that relationship. 3ManFactory know first hand their high standards, and as UCLan looks to push forward with with their own plans for the future, they feel this sits nicely with their own future plans and business growth.

We are proud to announce that we have been chosen to host the new Chamber of Commerce networking groups in 2015!


There are two new groups preparing to start, one called The Moneypenny Club, the other called the Young Professionals Network.

The Moneypenny Club is one of a kind, as it is the only business group like it in Lancashire. This club is specifically for Personal Assistants, Office Managers and Administrators.

The Moneypenny Club gives delegates an opportunity to meet others in the same situations that have to go through many of the same challenges in the work place.

There will be important and interesting information that you will definitely benefit from.

The Young Professionals Network is an informal and relaxing event for you that allow you to meet new people, share experiences and learn from one another.

At this event, an issue will be submitted anonymously from one of the group, and you will discuss possible outcomes and solutions.

POWWOW, the networking event run by Creative Lancashire, returns to town for a second time!

The last time POWWOW was in Preston was on the 16th July at Glovers and as it was such a huge success, they’ve decided to do it again.

POWWOW is again, being hosted at Glovers Bar on 15th October from 6pm – 8pm. And with free entry, food and drink included, is a great opportunity to mingle with other businesses, freelancers and students at this exciting event!
