On Friday 5th December it was the annual Cotton Court Christmas Party held at Glovers bar. There was a great party atmosphere, with around 150 people in attendance, and it was great to see so many familiar faces.
The team at Cotton Court would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that attended and made the night so enjoyable, and an even bigger thank you to everyone for the amount of gifts that were brought for the children of Barnardos, our chosen charity.
We offered guests a free bar, buffet and live music and asked them in return to bring a gift or a small donation for Barnardos.
Barnardo’s is a British charity founded by Thomas John Barnardo in 1866, to care for vulnerable children and young people. As of 2013, it spends over £191 million each year on more than 800 local services, aimed at helping these same groups. It is the UK’s largest children’s charity, in terms of charitable expenditure. Today, Barnardo’s provides a comprehensive range of local support, counselling, fostering, adoption, education, residential and training services for more than 100,000 children, young people and their families. The charity works to transform the lives of vulnerable children and young people, and aims to enable them to fulfil their potential.
Finally, we would also like to say thank you to Jay and the team from East Z East, who provided the catering, Dani Gallagher, who kept our audience entertained; and to Chelsea and all the staff at Glovers bar for looking after us and making sure the event was a success.
