Leading University Entrusts Preston Agency With Supporting Their Marketing Team

3ManFactory have continued their fantastic start to 2015 by securing a contract with the University of Central Lancashire. The work was awarded after an intense tender process that covered producing a variety of work including promotional video and a full digital campaign, with the process culminating in a formal presentation. Despite tough competition from national agencies they secured a place as one of a small number of agencies supporting the Universities marketing team.

UCLan now has over 32,000 students and is in the top 1% of universities worldwide for international students. Their marketing team not only have to look at areas such as undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment and retention but also liaising and partnering with business and industry. This wide audience means work will no doubt be challenging but equally exciting and rewarding.

They have been working with UCLan for a number of years already having delivered many lectures and workshops, developed brand concepts and designed websites for projects and schools across the University but this new contract will really deepen that relationship. 3ManFactory know first hand their high standards, and as UCLan looks to push forward with with their own plans for the future, they feel this sits nicely with their own future plans and business growth.

We wish them the best of luck!

We Add Cycle Storage Facility

By Comments Off on We Add Cycle Storage Facility

We now offer a safe place for staff & customers to store their bikes with our new storage facilities. We are looking to encourage more people to cycle to work with the new cycle storage, as cycling is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK – and after the success of the British leg of the Tour de France, no doubt a new wave of cyclists will be inspired.

Working with local family run business, Broadgate Cycles in Penwortham, we have equipped the area with safe secure racks for people to locate and lock their bikes too, which is also in a secure locked area for extra peace of mind.

Why did we look to provide cycle storage?

We noticed an increase in visitors enquiring and also arriving on their bikes, we thought it was only right to provide them with somewhere safe to keep their bike. With Preston’s Guild wheel on our doorstep as well as a host of other cycle paths and routes, we are very much at the heart of the national cycle network it has made us extremely accessible for cyclists.

What is the Guild Wheel?

A 21 miles of greenway around Preston opened to celebrate the 2012 Guild. The new route circles Preston, linking the city to the countryside and river. Highlights of the route include the section of the route along the river from Preston Docks to Brockholes Nature Reserve by the M6.

This circular cycling and walking route takes you on a tour of the parks, rivers, docklands and countryside around Preston in Lancashire. Route highlights include the delightful Avenham park with its riverside gardens and a stretch along the Riversway Docklands and Marina. There are also long waterside sections along the River Ribble and a visit to the peaceful Brockholes Nature Reserve.

To find out about all cycling routes in Preston please visit Lancashire County Council – cycle routes in Preston. We have also added a number of popular cycling routes in Preston, which can be downloaded from the documents section.

We would like to thank Dave Butcher & Dave Wilson from Broadgate Cycles in Penwortham for all their help and assistance and to working with them closely in the future.

Who are Broadgate Cycles?

They care passionately about every element of their business, your cycling requirements and the community. This passion has been in their DNA since we opened our doors in 1950.

Broadgate Cycles is popular with professional athletes, club cyclists and cycle enthusiasts looking for performance bikes. A quick view of their website and you can see some of the leading specialist brands they have in stock. In addition, David Wilson, a co-owner, has a UK reputation for his technical engineering ability and is on hand all week to offer advice on the real serious stuff.

We are proud to be supporting the very first Best of Britannia North event on 15th – 17th May.  The event has the support of Marketing Lancashire, Creative Lancashire and Preston City Council and aims to continue the ethos of BOB and taking it to the heart of a county renowned globally as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. The BOB team are delighted to be breathing new life into the former Central Post Office building in the historic Flag Market where they will be creating our unique pop-up department store experience as well as replicating the buzz of the food and drink courtyard by utilising the wrought-iron Victorian grandeur of the adjacent covered market.

We Launch Digital Marketing Training

By Comments Off on We Launch Digital Marketing Training

Lancashire Digital Academy is offering a new funded training course to eligible businesses in the Lancashire area. The training course is about Digital Marketing Essentials.

On the 22nd May, I attended the first part of the new training course, which was run by Tom Stables from 3ManFactory.

Throughout the first session, I learnt about different ways of marketing on different social media. On the social media subject, I also learnt about social media as lead generation, brand monitoring and intelligence, and case studies to illustrate best practice.

The second part of the training was on the 29th May, in this session, I learnt about finding an audience when digital marketing, analysing current marketing activities and also looking at a digital marketing checklist development.

As well, we also discussed what language is appropriate to be used on Social media. For example, what tone you should be using when speaking to someone on social media.

At the training, the thing that I found useful was when we learnt about using different social media to market and advertise the business. For example, I learnt how to use Flickr, Instagram and Pinterest to advertise Cotton Court’s services.

This training was delivered in one of our conference rooms, here at Cotton Court.

Best of Britannia – North

By Comments Off on Best of Britannia – North

BOB is an event that showcases British companies that design or manufacture in the UK and opens with an exclusive preview evening to trade buyers and media on the first day, followed by two days of selling to the public and trade visitors.

In May this year, Best of Britannia is hosting its first BOB North, right here in Preston!

The event will take place in the historic Post Office building and Flag Market in Preston, which will follow the winning format of previous BOB events in London. Here, you will see that there will be the best of British brands, a first-class opportunity to meet and do business with other like-minded companies and to sell directly to a targeted group of discerning consumers, who are keen to buy products that are made in Britain.

Best of Britannia will be working with Marketing Lancashire to make sure that all the best brands from the North will be represented at the event, including the finest food, drink and entertainment!

Also, on the 3rd of February this year, we held a Best of Britannia event at our venue, which 80 people attended.

The leader of Preston City Council, Councillor Peter Rankin said “Councillor Peter Rankin, leader of Preston City Council, said: “The Best of Britannia in ‘Proud Preston’ will be a marvellous showcase for quality products and for the city. It is a vote of confidence from great British manufacturers that Preston has been selected to host such a prestigious event.”
